UX50 -> Motorola V525 (V500 maybe V600 too) -> GPRS Settings Hi, after several phonecalls and emails to Sony, Motorola and my GSM Provider without any results, I have now found the settings to connect the UX50 with Bluetooth through my Motorola V525 (=V500) via GPRS to the Internet. I included the values for my GSM provider Vodafone, the entries have to be adapted to your provider. Urgent is the Connection settings, I needed some time to figure out that I had to connect via Local Network. That was different to my Nokia 6310 I had before, where I had to connect via Phone! For anybody else who needs it here are the settings: (Maybe the names of the fields are different, but I have to translate from german OS) Connection: Configuration: GPRS Motorola Connect with: Local Network Via: Bluetooth Device: <Your Handy> Details: Speed: 57.600 Bit/s Control: automatic Network: Service: GPRS User: <any> Password: < any if needed, else enter a space> Connection: GPRS Motorola Details: Connection type: PPP Timeout: never DNS request: not selected Primary DNS: 139.7.30.125 Secondary DNS: 139.7.30.126 IP address: select automatic Script: Delay: 10 Send: at+cdgcont=1,"IP", Send: "web.vodafone.de","0.0.0.0",0,0 Send WR: Send: atd*99# Send WR: End That's it. Hope this helps V500,V525 and V600 users. regards Bernd PS: I forgot to mention that I use the generic bluetooth phonedriver that came with the "phonelink121" file from Sony. |
Hi Bernd, I was just wondering where you got that phonlink121 file from. It seems there is no such file on my Sony CD. Thanks for any help! |
bgiesecke - was it easy to pair your V525 and UX50? I finally managed to pair my V600 and NX70 w/BT MS but when I try to search for it as a modem for my net connection it finds nothing :'( Dip |
@Joggl the phonelink121 is not on your CD. Search for it here in the forum, you will find a link. @dipen my UX finds the Motorola only as a phone or a modem, not as a PC or local network. I had never problems to pair the UX with the Motorola. However do not forget that you have to activate the "find me" on the Motorola. It is activated in the Bluetooth Link -> Setup -> Find me -> Button select. |
