Security App Recommendations Hi All, Any recommendations for third party apps for securing phone #'s and sensitive data for my nx70? Freeware is always preferred but I don't mind paying for an app if it's worthwhile. TIF Al |

I agree with Splash ID. There is also CryptoPad (freeware) that integrates with the default Memo Pad and can encrypt selected memos. Encrypted memos are not synced to your PC, but are backed up in encrypted form in a separate CryptoPad DB. It really all depends on what it is you want to secure. |
And another vote for SplashID. I am using SplashID for all my passwords, logins etc. and it works quite well. Intuitive user interface and desktop application included. Give it a try. I assume that you will be convinced. |
I would also recomend TealLock. I have it all set up in flash memory rendering my PDA useless to anyone who takes it. I've tried many times to bust into it through hard resets, etc, and haven't been able to - so it really works. Splash ID is also a very good application for storing personal information. Z |
I like SplashID because all the categories are completely customizable. It also has nice features like an attractive interface and icons which make it easier to sort your information. |
To lock up your PDA, check out GridLock I've been using it for over a year on my T665, and it hasn't caused any problems. Easy to enter your password (just tap on squares to create a pattern you've selected as your password), and it passes alarms through, so that you don't miss any alarm notifications, even if your Clie is locked! Best of all, it's FREE! (Haven't loaded it onto my NX yet, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't work) |
splashid is nice and clean looking with a good intuitive interface |
I use Key Ring. It's open source and is available on www.sourceforge.com |
