useful programs

MD-PhD student in Boston, MA, last year!

I've used a Palm Zire71 for ~6 months with no problems, tried to "upgrade" to the NX80 for the nicer screen, etc, but have had no end of troubles with progam stability!

Epocrates Pro- (sync/memory problems recently on NX)
Franklin Reader for Harrison's- works OK, but poor reader!
Eponyms- fabulous!
iSilo
Medcalc- must have!
Converter -also must have!
GuineaPeds trial- crashes on NX but not Zire

Paramedic intern in Massachusetts, just finished and waiting for the next state exam. Been an EMT for 9 years now...

Just recently replaced my old Visor Prism with a nice new NX73V.

PEPID EMS (the best program I have found, worth the money)
ALCS 2001
IV Rate
Used to have Mobile EMS and Epocrates too, but I found I never used them anymore after I got PEPID...

Can anyone out there recomend a good case for the NX73V? Been carrying it in my shirt pocket, and I know I'm bound to break or drop it... Preferably something I can wear on my belt (like I don't have enough to carry as it is, just call me Batman...).

Forensic psychologist, based in So CA, but consult throughout the U.S. Have a Sony Clie UX50 running Palm OS 5.2.

The UX50 has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and remotely retrieve emails if I don't have my notebook handy.

Apps:
Mapopolis - great for traveling
Iambic Mail - email app, better than Clie Mail
PalmReader - for my ebooks
HandBase - lots of various databases, like DSM, ICD for psych dx's
Time Logger - tracks time spent on various clients for consults, integrates with Quickbooks
DateBk5 - much better than Palm's
IntelliSync - sync's up PDA with Outlook
Passwords Plus - encrypted personal info
FileZ - excellent file manager
Bluetooth Toggle - great app
TuSSH - SSH for my webserver
EzFTP - FTP for my webserver
... and a chess game to kill time

Same here, arty22! I'm a German final year student, too. Went to North America last year for my internal medicine elective. Everybody had a PDA over there, so I bought one as well... Use it every day now!

Favorite software: Datebk5, ePocrates, iSilo.

Cheers.
