BellTime alarm clock ![]() BellTime is a multi-function alarm clock and features:

Jaap, I can't scroll down any of the pages from the link above using IE7, but they work fine in Firefox 2.0.0.11. Hmm... Also, I don't see an option to purchase, only an expiring demo. What's this going to cost and where would it be purchased? Thanks. |
This looks interesting... is the final version going to be free in the line of WatchMaker, or is this something that is going to expire on me and then require me to pay to use the upgraded version? It looks like it has a number of great improvements to WatchMaker; I might be convinced to upgrade. I notice that this is the application formerly known as WatchMaker+ -- I take it that means you're planning to compete in the commercial market with it. Idea: would you be able to merge the two so that non-registered users get WatchMaker, and if you register you get the + features? |

scottl, I plan to sell BellTime for less than 15.- US$. Purchase will be from my site and PocketGear or other. Will look into the IE 7 problem, thanks for mentioning! |

Well, I don't call it WM+ anymore because that would suggests Watchmaker is included, but the skins are missing. So, Watchmaker will be there also in the future as freeware (with bug fixing and maybe some other skin, if I feel like that) and BellTime will be the more functional alarm clock as shareware. Of cource you can always run the two apps together on your device, they don't byte each other (hope so...) |
Thanks for clearing that up :) You might have a few registered users coming your way when you publish an official release, as I've been a happy WM user for years now! |
Jaap, A suggestion for Watchmaker, though I suppose that you have lost interest. Could a pause facility be added to the count-down timers. Maybe by pressing the "start" button. Thanks for an excellent program. JOhn. |

John, for a timer with pause I need an extra button, but there is no space. Otherwise I still make small improvements for WM. but the BellTime concept with slots and tools, makes it much easier to inplement new features. I decided now, to make a BellTime freeware version with limitations. It comes next week. The full trial version will be extended until 29-feb-08. I am curious how Watchmaker users compare the two apps! |
No offense, but what good is an alarm clock app on a Palm with that little speaker on the back that you couldn't hear when it's was laying on the night table? |
I use my TX for my morning alarm - just put it face down for the night. |
I need a little morethan the little speaker on the Palm, like an atomic bomb... |
I use an old beaten-up ipod sound-dock connected to my palm and i use wm with all settings high :D though an atomic bomb woul do the trick too :D |
I've woken up to WM for the past 4 years... only times I've slept in are: 1) when I was able to randomly hit the OK button when still asleep (maybe make the snooze button big and the OK button small on the alarm screen?) 2) when I got lint in my headphone jack and the alarm didn't audibly sound 3) when my Palm locked up overnight. Total instances of sleeping in while WM alarm set: 8 in 4 years. Better than any other alarm system I've ever used. |
1 Attachment(s) This is how the BellTime alert could look like on a TX. Colors can be changed. Snooze time is variable. http://www.1src.com/forums/attachme...ntid=5290&stc=1 |
Tomohawk I have been using my T3 for several years as an alarm clock. I wake up to Pocket Tunes music. I have to turn the volume down to about 75%, and pick a song with a quiet begining so that I am not jolted out of bed. The alarm has never failed me, and is loud enough to raise me from the dead : ) |
