Remove Package Installer? Can I safely delete this file from my T|E? I'm not sure if it belongs to some app or is it one of those one-time installer deals, or some installation utility? I can free up 100K of memory... thx |
have a look at the properties of the file using FILEZ, as it'll let you know the parent ID and you'll be able to see if it's a system file [protected] or if it's something else. G> |
Great idea! Then you go online to the database to look up the ID, if necessary. Question 2: Why didn't -I- think of that? :D |
Not my reply, I rememberd it from before when I was reading another forum and the id was discussed, meant I could go through all the apps I'd deleted before and clean up the rest :) Glad I was of help, off to have a cherry scone to celebrate :D G> |
Package Installer is a PalmSource installation "Wizard" that automatically decompresses and installs .psi files. I would recommend not deleeting it. |
Tomohawk, do you (or did you) have ePocrates installed? I'm pretty sure that's how I ended up with Package Installer on my Zodiac. |
I think it's from one of the other self-extracting Apps I have. Thanks for the help, guys. :D |
