App to bring up the date / time window with center button hold I had a T3 before going to the LD and the function I miss most is the absence of time display when I press the center nav button. So I am looking for a way around. It's probably not possible to turn on the LD with the centre button, but it probably couldbe possible to bring up the date / time window (the one you get, when you tap the time area in the status bar). This could probably be done with buttonex. I think howerver, that first a small app would be needed which could open the date / time window. So I thought I might ask the talented programers of this forum to make an app like this. Is it possible? |
Come on, am I really the onlyone that misses this kind of app? |
http://palmonecity.palmgear.com/ind...REF=&siteid=113 WatchMaker is a very customizable clock app. You can bind it to any of the app butttons (probably not the center button), so pressing that button will power on the LD and launch WatchMaker. You can also set WatchMaker to auto-power-off after 3 seconds if launched this way, just enough time for a quick glance. Tom |
I'm using watch maker allready. But it's not what I'm missing. |

Me too I miss that! Who cares for reminders anyway! Another nice idea from Palm  |
So maybe, we can ask Sharky or Dmitry to that for us? |
Buy a TX ;-) |
WUT?? It's like that on the TX?? I tought it was a "new" feature of OS 5.something...  |
So what are the files needed to make it work on the LD, so I can send them over from a TX when I meet it :) |
I think it's managed by the same file that manages the status bar so you cannot transfer it from a TX to a LD. I may be wrong though. |
Is there anyone out there that can try that out? |

Thanks Snark! I own a T|X, and was browsing the LifeDrive area (is that allowed???) Didn't know about this feature, but I used to have a hack for my Clie which would, upon pushing a hard button while the device is off, but on the Clie, display the time/date/battery level for a configurable amount of seconds, then turn the device off. I used this three, four times a day. Never realized the T|X had this function! Thanks again :) |
What was the hack named? |
