Can you import images into handheld memory?

Ok, on my old T615C, I had no problems moving still images from my computer to the Clie through PictureGearLite. Now on my TG50, it won't let me move images unless I have a MemoryStick. Am I correct in assuming that I have to buy a MemoryStick to import pictures on the Clie? Or is there a way around this?

I took some pictures with my sony digital camera and pulled the memory stick out of that and slapped it in my tg-50 and I could view them fine, and make them icons for the address book, but as of the present I can't seem to copy them over to the internal memory. It's probably just a little thing I'm missing. I suppose I could read the destructions...

Now I know why I did not notice the problem you are facing!
I have using PictureGear Lite all the while and I did not even use the supplied PictureGear Studio! I have no problem using PictureGearLite to hotsync the photo to my TG50. However, I did try to use PG Studio and I am actually quite disappointed that it does not cater the function despite nicer GUI.

What this photostudio does is the capabilities to create binder and insert photo into pages. After which, there is a quite complicated process in hotsyncing into the Clie. I managed to do that but it will only copy into the ms and not into the internal memory.

So I would sugguest you continue to use PictureGear Lite if you still have it. PictureGear Studio is more for immediate users.

I have tried copying the images to internal memory using cliefiles, and I do not encounter your problem.

how do you do that?

the other day I borrowed my mate's sony cam memorystick and i tried moving the pics via File Mgr and it said something about the files not containing database files or something.

where and how do i move them then?
