Check that thread out. Now we know. I really do hope that there is some way Sony can release a driver for older CLIEs that will enable them to be compatible with Memory Stick Pro.

Well, Sony has publicly announced that old MS devices won't be able to support MS Pro, for a long time already, what's the fuss?

Didn't you read that thread in the link that Juno017 gave?

I read those threads, but didn't really see any new info. Most of that info was released months ago.

Sorry... I really didn't read those threads before I replied... Anyway, those threads are just saying the same thing, that MS Pro won't be able to work in elder CLIE.
It could be 1) technically impossible or, 2) Sony wants us to upgrade. I suspect point 2 is the main or even lone reason. Anyway, I doubt Sony will change its mind anytime soon, you may have better luck waiting someone to make an unofficial patch instead (pure speculaion...).
In fact, I feel more sympathy for those Sony digicams owners who can't use MS Pro, I think they need it more than CLIE owners do.... Anyway it's only my opinions...

Sony also stated that the ms pro would not run on the nx without an update months ago... and it does (though with a little formating) This info is barely two weeks old! Therefore there were some who wondered if the format trick worked on os4 devices.
