Greets all. Found 1src from a post in comp.sys.palmtops.pilot. Great site.

I've got an m515 that I'm itching to upgrade. I have seriously considered the Garmin iQue3600, since I've gotten used to having a GPS (have a G45XL and a G12Map). Plus, the G12 that I have is ancient in terms of base maps, and it's no longer supported by Garmin.

I'm leaning strongly towards the T|X now though, after reading up on it here, and at other places. I'm assuming not, but does anyone know for certain if the m515 connector will fit the T|X, or will I have to buy yet another keyboard (my 3rd since owning a Palm) ?

It will not fit the TX. The standard, universal connector on the m515 has been replaced by another standard connector on the TX. Most of the modern keyboards are either infrared or bluetooth connected to the PDA and thus bypass the issue.

Cheers!

That's kind of what I figured. It's not like I'm not used to changing a bunch of stuff every time I upgrade. The only time I kept any accessories was when I went from a III to a IIIx.

Still probably going to get one, and deal with the GPS issue separately. Maybe get an add-on for the T|X if one is ever made.

Welcome to 1src, cmhbob and gsparks2. The TX is a great device, despite having that new connector. I usually use Bluetooth and WiFi with my TX and Powerbook so I seldom use the connector anyway ;)

If you have future questions, don't be afraid to ask, 1src is known for the very helpful members. Also, run through the TX forum area... since we put it up, the posts just keep on coming!
