It is stuck in hold with the stupid power slider broken. I can't do anything but look at it now and play music with the remote...
Anyone here now glassman? I ordered a UX50 from him :D
So long other NX users, I may fix it and bring it back :)
Bye... :(

Send it in for repairs, or try to open it up, remove the broken slider and push that stub that should be connected to the silder out of "hold" with a pin or something.
I once sent it in for repairs just for the slider, but it cast me about 30$ just for that stupid piece of plastic.
As the other solution, there was a guy who did it with his NX80, and posted instructions with big photos here. Do a search in the NX fourms.

I don't want to send it to Sony (too stressfull ;)), and don't want to open it (do I have to)?

I had the same problem with my NX80V. I ended of pulling the slider off and used a toothpick to get off of hold. Then I use Default Capture to turn the unit off and on.
It has an opening where the power slider was but it work OK. Since I got my UX50 though, the NX80V sits in a drawer.

Why would it sit in a drawer when there is profit to be made? :)

The slider on my NX-80 just got stuck in "hold" mode, too, rendering the machine useless. Interestingly, it first failed in the other direction, so I had to turn it on using alternative buttons, but then it got pushed into "hold" mode and that was that.
So, what did you decide to do with yours?

I ripped it off, and used the stylus to move the slider up ;)
