I have been having trouble setting up my Yahoo email in Versamail on the TX. Has anyone had the same issue and resolved it?

What kind of problems are you having? I setup both my gmail and yahoo with the VersaMail wizard in seconds, and it worked like a charm.

Have you tried deleting the account and recreating from scratch?

My Home, gmail and work email are fine

Yahoo gives me an error saying
-ERR Error logging in. Please visit mail.yahoo.com

what is your port number set to? (both incoming and outgoing)
anything other options checked?

rpayne, are you a yahoo! email plus subscriber? I set up my TX's Versamail program to check the POP account on my yahoo email plus, and it works quickly and flawlessly.

kealaq - I don't believe I am a 'plus' subscriber, but don't think that's the issue

Jonavin - Thanks for the settings...that's how i have it set also.

Did anyone make any changes to their Yahoo mailbox at yahoo.com? thats the only thing i can think of...

thanks

As far as I recall only sbcglobal accts or yahoo mail plus accts allow email access via pop3. Regular yahoo accts only support web access.

Try deleting and starting over. The setup wizard worked for me after I did that.
The specific settings are:

Incoming Server: pop.gmail.com port 995 (SSL checked)
Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com port 25 (SSL and ESMTP checked)
Username: myid@gmail.com

Also make sure you turn on pop in your gmail acocunt.

I cannot connect on my Palm TX via Versmail. It will not connect to any server over my home network. The same is true for the Browser application except when I use a proxy server. I am a Mac user. Eudora web mail connects just fine. What is the problem?
