Replacement for nz 90....

My friends in japan have told my sony is going to replace its flagship palm soon... to compete with palm's tungsten c. Any one of you guys heard anything at all????

Does it really matter? We all know that things get replaced fairly quickly especially in the technology arena.

If it were true, it would not make any sense. Palm is in trouble. Their sales are down and the Tungsten T has not lived up too sales projections. The Tungsten C is Palms answer to trying to compete with the NZ90 not the other way around. Sony is firmly in the drivers seat right now so I don't think they are worried too much about the Tungsten C. Sony will simply continue down the same path that has been so succesfull for them. New models with cool new features every six months. This alone will keep Palm at bay.

Actually, I'm sure Sony will have a new NZ out soon enoough. But not because of Palm. Just because that's what they do.

I hope it's lighter and smaller than the NZ, then I might grab one. The new model better have some more RAM than it has now!

In the absence of the "new" Clie, i am tempted to get NZ but the 11mb internal Ram turn me off...I think i might get used to the size but longing for OS 5.2

How is the T|C palm's answer to the NZ90? The T|C will have the T|W form factor and wifi. It is a completely different device from the NZ and they won't compete even in the same universe IMO. The T|C is NOT a multimeida device and its squarely targeted at enterprise users. On the other hand the Z71 is targeted at the SJ33 and h1910 market for wich I think it will do well...
