In this week's show I cover the 1SRC and Tech Talk podcast show status, Palm's four press releases, Ed Hardy takes over the 1SRC Editoral, Palm OS is dead! Opps, wrong again! CBR tries to set the record straight, and another Palm/PalmSource name change coming in early 2006?! [details (http://www.1src.com/?m=show&id=1293)]

As a follow up to the show notes, Ed Hardy has taken over as the 1SRC Editoral columnist. Most of you will already know Ed from his work at Palm Info Center, and as the Editor-in-Chief of Brighthand.
Also, Lance Wehrung from PalmFocus.com has posted the Palm T|X Software Compatibility List (http://www.palmfocus.com/txsoftware.php).

If you've already listened to the 1SRC and Tech Talk podcasts for this week, don't forget to check out Tyler Faux's Palm Addict podcast (http://palmaddict.typepad.com). And after that, check out Ed's editoral, "It's High Time for a VGA Palm". It's not a podcast, but it could be.

Good job Alan. I enjoyed you "taking it the extra mile,” explaining that Palm OS is really not dead. I have used Palms for years and I look forward to the exciting innovations coming our way with "Palm Linux".
Perhaps down the road, we will have a full-fledged desktop operating system on our Palm's in the nest couple of years. The potential is very exciting.
Again, great work, and having Ed on board is a bonus! :D

Jimmie,
Thanks for the additional material. It just goes to show that a rose by any other name is still a rose.

Alan,
What a nicer way of putting it than I did with if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck.. I just posted on the editorial forum that maybe we will see VGA sreens since Palm is expected to use the new OS in their Spring products.
Great podcast!!!! I am having some Kirvin withdrawls, but that's expected:) I've always listened to techtalk, I have a link to my favorite podcasts on my site you've been there. Now I get to hear ya twice a week, lol. You must be so busy though, don't burn yourself out. Congratulations on an awesome 1st 1src podcast. Continued success.

I am glad 1src found a great replacement for the podcast, you obviously know what you're talking about, and get us to understand what's going on. I do miss Jeff, but I'll get over it,lol. You are doing an awesome job with 1src, and grassnet, keep up the great work. Thanks for putting the palm podcasts all in one spot.

Great Job Alan! That makes it very easy...
That's why I did it. I wanted to make sure that people would be able to find a single directory of all the known Palm podcasters. I also have a special dicussion forum that I've invited all the hosts to join so we can co-ordinate our shows so there isn't too much repetition.
