T|E2 vs Zire 72

I wonder what's the diff. between Palm OSs 5.4 and 5.2.8, as both devices are being sold for the same price here in Dubai. I was initially going for the E2 until I found that offer.

I'd like also to hear your comments about the display, the overall performance and battery life regarding both.

The biggest difference between 5.4 (Garnet) and 5.2.8 is NVFS. The non-volatile file system preserves data in RAM when your battery is drained, which is quite useful if you forget to charge. Drawback is that memory is handled differently and some older applications no longer work. Accessing applications on SD card is not as zippy as the TE (never had a Z72 so no comparison). 5-way navigation for stylus-free use is much improved. The screen on the E2 is incredibly bright; battery life is excellent.

Warning: the blue finish on Z72 comes off quite easiliy and is cause for much complaint. The Z72s was later released and has a silverish finish.
