Recieved the bug fix from ZZTechs today for ZLauncher on the TX. Most of you should be getting the email today, if not just post here and I'll upload the file for you.

I'm interested as well. I assume the file isn't publically available.

I tried to upload it but was unable due to it not being a photo file. You'll need to PM me with an email.

I told zztechs I would not distribute it unless they said it was ready/OK to do so.

I received the following email from ZZtechs support

"We have found out the imcompatible problem in Tungsten X with
Zlancher installed. And we have fixed the problem already.
Please install the attached bug fixed version on your device.

Note: (Follow the below steps before install this bug fixed version.)
1. Please delete ZlauncherDB via ZLManager.
2. Install the attached bug fixed version of ZLauncher on your TX.
3. Your backup database may containing the corrupted ZLauncherDB,
you need to delete ZLauncherDB from your backup database as well.

If you have any suggestions or questions, please let us know."

Following these instructions, I tried installing the bug fix and I still have the problem. When I went to delete ZlauncherDB using ZLManager, it said that the file was in use so it could not since Zlauncher has to be loaded to use ZLManager. I then exited from ZLauncher and deleted ZlauncherDB using Filez. I installed the bug fix both on the handheld RAM and on the card and still have the problem.

I was not sure what they meant by deleting the file in the backup directory. Is that the directory on the desktop under "C:Program Files/PalmOne/username/Backup". I saw a ZlauncherDB.pdb there which was much larger in size then the one I deleted in Palm TX handheld RAM.

When you use ZLauncher Manager to delete the DB make sure you uncheck ZLauncher as default launcher. Your correct about the PC location of the DB as well. Delete it from the Backup folder and Archive folder too. The other backup ZZTech was referring to was on your SD card. I simply deleted the whole thing and after I performed the update did a new backup.

I removed all instances of ZL from the palm then performed a hotsync to remove the same from the PC. I then installed the package from the zip again, except replacing the main PRC with the one that was sent in email as having been fixed. So far, no problems.

I installed the bugfix onto a ZL-less TX & experienced some app icon
duplication; but after killing off the dupes, I've been good all day; 'tho it has been
a light Palm usage day for me.

Good to see ZZtechs are now directly dealing w/this prob., esp. after rumors of
how they were supposedly ignoring the issue.

Glad it is working for you. I don't know where you heard that ZZ wasn't responsive. In my case anyway, they replied back that very same night when I asked them about the TX.

Apparently, this 5.32b version is aimed at TX incompatibilities:

Don't remember where, but I did see in one forum or another that at first they didn't
think it was a problem - but I also find it a surprise b/c they have always dealt w/me
in a fine fashion.

I'm just glad it works.
