I want to buy a new Palm device, got tired from the amazing but very, very slow TH55.
I was searching... and my eyes got cought on the -

TEl2 - Great battery life, amazing but smaller screen good processor.
TlX - More expensive good battery life, good screen better processor.

I heard rumors about the TEl2 problomatic screen whining noise, that the TlX
has to ,and that warpspeed doesn't fix that for sure,I mean making other problems like lockups'... (as seen from the application forum)

My main interest is buying my self a new palm device that will fill more snappy with Agendus or Datebk5 (important, that will not have issue with the device)and open word and EXEL documents in reasonable time.

Also I heard of a slow reasponse to Graphiti for the TlX, some king of a lag between writting and see it on the display.

I will be more than happy to here about the TEl2 from people who have this device.

Thanks in advance... :o

I don't have any of the devices, but rationally speaking, the E2 would definitely suit your needs. However, the TX bigger screen would be better at viewing and editing Excel files.

Have both, definitely prefer the TX as it is more responsive and has some features dropped in previous devices restored. WiFi sync is marvelous too.

Graffiti2 waits for you to complete the second stroke in 2-stroke characters. If you keep writing, it catches up. This is mostly a perception issue with new G2 users who have been accustomed to legacy Graffiti.

Hi.

I heard about the dbcache, that is a true issue on palm using NVFS system memory.

If anybody know what size of dbcache does TEl2 and TlX have I'll be glad :D .

Cause I want to view maps...large maps on the device using resco Explorer, Jpeg of about 4 Mega very large resolution about 3500*2500 baybe more, and I know it takes lots of memory to be open.
So does the dbcache will be an issue on a lesser dbcache device maybe it's the TEl2.

Please Let me know why doesn't the cache clear after closing a program, so that using dbcache progarm that takes few seconds for clearing the cache and slowing the device wouldn't be necessery.......

Lots of questions  on so little "harmless" device.

Thanks in advance.
