Can the hold button act like a power button on the NZ ... like on my older Clie 710?? Thanks,,,

No, but it does shutoff the display. Remember you can use the audio player with the hold button on.

sounds like you hit the jog dialm not the hold button

Just for reference - the hold button is next to the power button.

:D of course I know which is which... too funny... when I press the little square button next to the jog dial... it advances catagories... not turn off...

Wellllll with that in mind it might be time to try a soft-reset, before a hard reset. he he.

I think you are hitting the BACK button. The HOLD Button is not really a button. The Hold Button is really a small switch/slide located just above the POWER button. Slide that button UP ... and it will turn off the power on your PDA. and disable the rest of the buttons from accidently turning it on (Hard Keys, Memo Record, Capture button... etc).

The button is not programmable from what I've seen ... it is more of a 'shut this off.. and lock it down from being able to accidental power-on.
