Hi.
I just purchased the Tomtom navigator 5 for pda which includes the tomtom bluetooth GPS receiver.
Well, my T5 discovered the receiver and it was paired nicely. (it was added to the "trusted devices" list.) But somehow, the receiver didn't work.
There are 2 LEDs.(charge indicator and gps indicator)
The charge indicator works well. - when it's charging, it's orange and it turns off when it's done.-
But the gps indicator is never ON. According to the manual, it is supposed to flash when switched on. But I've never seen it light and I've been struggling with it for 3 days; charging it over and over.
The s/w (tomtom navigator 5) on my pda seems to work great but it keeps saying, "No GPS device!" even after pairing it with each other.
I'm sure, the s/w can detect the receiver since I hear it beeping twice when the s/w starts.
So, I guess, the problem is the receiver. but as you know, tomtom's customer service sucks.
they communicate only via email, no phone calls and their responses are so ridiculous. i.e. I explained all the problems and they asked me, like, "Are you able to get a GPS signal and plan routes using your Navigator 5 application?".
Gee. of course not since I cannot get any signal. That is the problem, for goodness sake.
I dont mean to whine about this...but Is there anyone who had the same problem? Plz help me. I need this device working next Mon.
