View Full Version : Redirect MemoPad Beam?

I have a small OCR reader that can beam text to my Sony TH55--it works great. The only problem is that the beam activates the MemoPad program, which, of course, has a serious size limit.

Is there a way to redirect the transfer so that the text flows to a different program? Something like Docs to Go or PalmFiction would be great! I've thought about changing file associations, registries, etc., but I'm not sure if I'm on the right track.

Any help appreciated,

ArielCal

Hi ArielCal, you might want to check out a program called "Receiveit" Here is the link http://www.equattor.com/products/receiveit.html

This program allows you to set up parameters for incoming beamed files and to direct certain file extentions to be stored on you sd card.

This program might do what your after.

Hope this helps

I'm pretty Sure Getdeblu will do the same thing for IR or Bluetooth, and it's free.
It is a little hard to figure out, but is also very flexible.

Cool Userwaldo!, I had never come across "getdeblu" I think I will compare it to receiveit. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks to Arc Light and userwaldo who posted solutions. I've downloaded both pieces of software, and I'll try them each to see which meets my needs best. Again, thank you for your help--great support!
