HELP !

My LifeDrives Touch Screen went out this morning.
(Question: Is this covered under warranty? Any URL's where information on this can be found?)

The major problem though is that I had the security screen enabled, so one hour after my touch screen went out the security screen came up and

I CAN'T TYPE IN MY PASSWORD WITH OUT THE TOUCH SCREEN !!!!

The buttons do not seem to let me navigate within the security screens numeric key pad. Any work around for this? (It would be nice if I could read some of my e-books, or listen to some of my audio books or music today)

P.S. You can not synchonize and the LifeDrive manager is disabled when the security screen is on.

I hope you backed up your device cause it seems like you will need a hard reset.

I hope you backed up your device cause it seems like you will need a hard reset.I did and I did.

Unfortunatly a hard reset requires you to "Tap the center of the target" to reconfigure the pointer and will not seem to let you advance past that point if your touch screen is not working.

So anyone know a work around ? How about a link to Palm that has the info I need to send this thing in for repair?

This probably won't help, but I had the same thing yesterday -- the digitizer wouldn't work. I did a soft reset and the screen came back.

You haven't got a screen protector on the LD have you?
If its not fitted properly, too far into the edge, it may be affecting the digitizor.

If its not fitted properly, too far into the edge, it may be affecting the digitizor.I thought of that too and removed it (even though it has been working with it on for several months). Unfortunatly it did not solve the problem.

I guess I will have to send it in for repair under warranty.

(DANG IT - If I had just not had the security screen turned on I could at least have continued to read my e-books and listing to my music by using the navigation buttons.)
