I was curious whether the T|x, when paired with the RAZR v3, recognizes the phone as the v3 specifically? I've been looking for a v3-specific driver for use with my th55/e combo and haven't had any luck. Some functions work between the two, but not as well as they should.

Actually did a dumb thing today. Went to my local Office Depot where I got to see the T|x and after beaming FileZ, tried to look up a phone driver database of some sort that would hopefully contain the v3. To make a long story short, I beamed 5 phone files to my th55/e and messed up my handheld as far as bluetooth/phone connection goes. . .doh!

So I'm in the process of rebuilding some things. Whoops. :o

I'm using my new T/X with a V3 on Cingular all day long for email and the web! You can use the V600 drivers - they are the same as V3.

Thanks. . .do you have or do you know where I can find the v600 drivers? Also, since you mentioned the Cingular network, can you give me more info? I just got off the phone today with the Product Management Center dept and the tech there gave me some new dial and init strings:

*99***#

and

@f@d2@c1+cgdcont=1,"IP","isp.cingular"

(respectively.)

Username should be: ISP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password should be: CINGULAR1

Does this look close to what you're using? Also, do you have any other lines or commands in the login script? Thanks!

My settings were put in autmatically by the TX under new BT device set up process. There is a drop down list that includes the device( V600) and Carrier, and be sure to use the Cingular WAP, not Cingular GPRS settings. That's what worked for me.

Here is the link to the Palm Phone update (drivers). Good Luck. When you get it set- you are connected most anywhere:

TX worked with my V3 out of the box.

Works all day like a charm.

I'm on T-Mobile and the TX requires a script to access the Internet.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is how/if I can get that driver onto my th55/e so I can maximize my use. I've tried using the Palm PhoneLink Update, but I don't get Motorola-specific phone options on the list.

Is it possible to get this stuff from the TX to use on my th55/e somehow?

I think that the driver program only updates a program on existing PalmOne units.
You know Sony HAD to do everything different. Their picsel pdf opening program won't work on Palm units even thought it's desparately needed (Davitz is working on it).

I do miss the old Clie daze! Discovering YiShow, PEG..., t605? j22? My youngest child called all PDA's a "Clie", causing dirty looks from people within earshot in public. That side scroll wheel ROCKED!!
