Palm offers it for 299, but I'm sure there are other places that offer it for less.
How much is it at the retail stores like BestBuy and Staples compared to online stores like Newegg? I reciently searched for it at Newegg, but they don't have it yet.

I bought it at Palm.com for $299 the day it was announced. I didn't feel like waiting for it to show up anywhere. I did check my usual places (newegg, pcconnection, amazon, etc) but couldn't find it so I just got it from Palm.

Amazon shows it at $299 rght now but it's also saying Not Yet Released.

I'm about to make the plunge as well. I thought a couple of people got it for $269 at Office Depot by mentioning a 10% discount. Thought I'd try that...

Mmm, here in Belgium I bought it yesterday for 350 euros. That's about $438.
I waited so long to upgrade from my good old M515, I couldn't hold myself any longer.
I hope I won't regret it, still getting used to that big bright screen...

I've only seen it for $299. But some places like Office Depot and Best Buy do have some coupons and such that may bring the price down.

:D Did you say coupons? Where can I get a hold on these "coupons"? :D.

Right now I'm about to get it online. Lowest price on PriceGrabber is $269...but if I can get at least 6% off coupon to make tax negligible in-store, I'd be glad to get it :D.

I paid the $299 at Best Buy on the day it was released. Not that I'm against saving money, but I wanted it NOW, and $299 is a darn good price for a handheld with those features.

Keep this thread going because if any US retailer puts it on sale in the next 3 weeks - the Best Buy customers (or many other retailers) will give a price match refund.

I paid $269.99 at a brand new Office Depot by mentioning 10% off That I understood to be an opening promo. The clerk didn't know about any such promo, but gave it to me anyway.

I was just lookin around, and found it for $268.40 plus 18.79 for standard shipping at thenerds.net (http://www.thenerds.net/index.php?page=productpage&affid=5&pn=1047NA)

Looks like the price is staying at or or a little under $300.

The retail price in Canada is $399 (more than the actually exchange rate, should be $349) and not too many places have it in stock yet. SoftMagic has it for $345 which is about the same as the US retail price. I found out Compusmart has it in stock so I'm going to try to do a price-match tonight with the SoftMagic price and hopefully I will have a brand new T|X tonight. If not, I'll wait until my trip to California next month and pick it up there. There's no way I'm paying $399 for this.

buy.com has the T/X for $269.99 with free shipping. Also if you sign up for their credit card you get $30 off your first purchase making the T/X only $239.99.

buy.com also usually has 6% or 10% off electroinic coupons every so often.

I hate it when companies gouge Canadians for products; they use conversion rates from 1995. It's ridiculous.

Let me know how the PM goes; I am interested in doing the same thing, after I sell my TJ25.

They wouldn't honour the PM because they said that SoftMagic doesn't have a physical store. The store manager said something to the effect of "that price is below our cost"... yeah right, the $345 would just make it the same as the US retail price.

It's much easier to PM at BestBuy or Futureshop. I'll wait until they have stock or when I go to California in two weeks.

I bought mine from the Palmone online store in Europe (I am in the UK for a while) and paid 268.49 pounds sterling and got the cradle with it. That equates to $476.31. I just wanted it. Bad. And it has been the easiest to upgrade to and the most stable since, well, ever. Past Palms were IIIx, M505, TT, and T3. This one is the best by far.

CanadaComputers now has them on their site.

$349... about the same as US retail price.

At least there are a few sensible retailers in Canada.

CompUSA Puerto Rico has it for $349.99... I figured the price difference form the MSRP would be more or less the shipping rate for next-day FedEx or UPS shipping to Puerto Rico... so I got it... LOL!

That is the best price I have seen. At least someone knows how to multiply a number!

They are much easier to pricematch with; Bestbuy or Future Shop will easily match against them. Good price!

OH yeah.. $299 at the local PALM KIOSK

I've been waiting FIVE MONTHS, so I needed this after losing my prior unit, so it feels right.

Still figuring out the new goodness, synching to Outlook 2003 and bluetooth calling.

I purchased mine at Buy.com for a list price of $259.24 and free budget shipping. Unfortunately I live in California so I do have to pay sales tax which would bring my grand total to about $280. Not bad, I think. I purchased in on 10/23 (Sunday night)...I check the price the next day and it had jumped to $269, but they are currently running a 6% coupon. The item shipped from the warehouse today (10/26) and ETA is this Friday (10/28). I can't wait! I've been playing with it at the Palm info kiosk at the mall and I really like it. It's a great price for such a nifty little machine even at the full retail price of $299.

I got my TX from Best Buy last night for $269.99 plus tax, on a price match to a Circuit City online order with free in-store pickup at their store across the street. I got it at Best Buy because I only had to pay $30 - the rest was paid by a service plan when my almost two-year-old T3 was pronounced dead due to digitizer drift (I originally got the T3 so cheap due to a store remodelling super-sale).

I bought mine last Sunday for S$525 (Singapore dollars, inc GST), roughtly about US$310. I was waiting for it to show at the airport so I can be spared of the 5% GST. But I couldn't resist the urge to upgrade from my M515. The guy selling was really something as well. He deligently pasted the screen protector (free), so good that you can barely see it's there. I mean, it took him something like 5 minutes, making sure no dust are trapped ("sucking" dust with a strip of scotch-tape), alligning, and finally pressing the film.

For me, it's a good buy, since I still remember I bought my M515 at the airport for S$729, 3 years ago.

I couldn't wait any longer and bought it from canadacomputers.

Incidentally this is my first pot from my new TX. Wifi was very easy to setup. I've got datebk5 on it so I'm happy.

This my first experience with G2 and it really suck. I'm going to try that G1 hack soon.

I got owned by Graffiti2. I meant to say that was my first poSt, not first pot. I've installed the Graffiti1 libraries now and all is good.

Still no sign of T|X stock at mainstream Canadian retailers like FutureShop, BestBuy and Staples.
