Heavy wear on on/off switch

Do you pple have this prob??After a few weeks of intensive use, the silver finishing of my on/off switch is coming off. It is now being replaced by a dark colored metal.

It does not happen to my on/off switch but around the general area of the jogdial, back, and hold switches - same problem: dark colored metal.

I'm using an NX just to compare it with your NZ.

Doesn't the NZ have a Power button that is similar to the Hold switch button on the NX's?

I can see that wear on my unit too:

- Power button

-black paint on top of the hold button

Oh shxx, I better be caution not to use my nail to push it so that I'll be able to use it longer without the "tear and wear" effect.

Hi,

For me, this kind of WEAR thing is a good sign !!

At least I feel that I am using my palm very often and this justify my investment.........hopdfully my wife could understand this.

I am sick of the silver paint job coming off. I am gonna scrape all the paint out and have a true black metal/magnesium on/off switch!!!muahhahahhahaha!!!

I am having this happen power and hold switches too. I thought it was an all metal solid piece, guess not. I would try scraping it all off but I dont think it's worth possibly doing more harm than good.

Just an update. The top section of my power switch is almost completely black. Black sections appearing on my HOLD switch. Ahhhhh bring on the darkness!!!!

yes, i have the same problem....

power button - silver paint fading

hold button - black

cf slot top corners - silver paint fading

nx bottom corners - silver paint fading

palm symbol on back of nx - fading

EVERYTHING IS FADING !!!!!

the paint on my NX on/off switch is so worn , i swear i can see the green light shining through
