View Full Version : Overclockability?
Has anyone seen how much farther you can go from the default 312 mhz. The thing I love about my T5 is I can oc to 565 mhz stable and watch some nice 320x480 video on it.
Also are the lcd's the same? The one on my T5 is crisp and bright. I read somewhere that they aren't up to par with the TX.
I have the option of trading in my T5 for a TX for no cost. Just debating if I should or not. The wi-fi is where its at.

afaik the processor is the pxa270 that runs at 416MHz in the T5/LD so overclocking to that level should be safe as houses....

Why not someone open up the unit and look at the CPU module. I dont have one handy, thus cant do it!

Which one is the best overclocking utility to use on the TX?

PXA Clocker is the best for overclocking Ive found. The free version works great. It's all you need.

I've also heard that the CPU in the T|X is an underclocked version of the T5.
What are the battery implications of overclocking? I know it'll be worst but, how much worst?
I honestly didnt see a huge loss in battery when I oc my T5 to 565mhz watching videos. In my experience, I say I took no more than a 15% loss in battery life. Mind you I dont watch like 1-2 hour long movies/videos. I mostly watch like frag (avg 15-20 min) and music videos with an occasional 30 min sitcom or anime.
