I think I have the first bug. Scenario:

1) Have WiFi configured to connect to my home network
2) SnapperMail is configured to check for email every 30 minutes. This is working great.
3) Put TX in it's hard case and go out to mow yard with TX in my pocket.
4) At some point I wanted to check the time. I pulled my TX out and it seemed awfully warm. The sun was shining and I figured it was just from being in my pocket in the sun. But no.... It was hung on the "No Network Connection found." dialog. It had been sitting there for 49 minutes according to Snappermails log which showed it trying to get mail at 5pm and being cancelled at 5:49pm.

So I tried it again just to be sure.

I got in range of my network and got my mail. Then I walked out of range and tried again at 18:27. As of now, 18:37 it's still on.

Can someone else try this? It's not Snapper from what I can tell. It's the dialog box disabling the auto shut off. I don't mind the dialog coming up but it should turn off after my 1 minute auto-off time.

SnapperMail's best for the Treo 650 because it's always connected -- meaning it can always make a call/connection and download your mail.

For the TX, this is good if you're always within a hotspot.

OK, further testing seems to indicate it is SnapperMail. My guess is that SnapperMail turns off the Auto-Off so it isn't interupted while getting the mail. The dialog doesn't allow a return to Snapper to turn auto-off on <grin>.

I tried the same scenario with HotSync. The dialog came up but the TX turned off as it should. Snapper doesn't. Guess it's time to contact them.
