Anybody considering turf'n their LD for the T|X, I am based on stability..
anyone else? (putting aside the vib alarm, voice memo and 4G storage, faster CPU). Appears the T|X has a newer revision of Garnet and a newer revision of Blazer as well...
thx

I did. My TX came today. I am already enjoying the snappiness that comes with not having to spin up the hard-drive everytime I run an app. I can exit Pocket Tunes and run something else without the music skipping. The processor may be slower but programs load faster so it's a wash. In fact the TX feels faster overall.
The LD didn't have a vib alarm.. :) I never used the voice memo. I thought the LD would be a cool machine with the 4GB hard drive but I just didn't use the space. I can keep up with all my podcasts on my 1GB SD card.
I don't know if stability will improve or not. The T5 certainly had issues, mostly related to NVFS. Hopefully they have those issues fixed in the TX.
I had one reset today but I think that was because I tried to restore my saved preferences from my LD in order to save time on re-registering software and it was acting wierd. I decided to reinstall from scratch and so far-so good.
I think if the TX had been available when I bought the LD I would have gotten the TX instead, especially since it's $200 less. I looked at the T5 but I gotta have my WiFi.
I will be putting my LD up for sale shortly.

Thanks AndyMac, as for the vib alarm, guess that explains why mine never worked
Out of curiosity how long does the T|X take to soft reset? that's the one thing that bugs that me the most about the LD and it bugs me a couple of times everyday!

Thanks AndyMac, as for the vib alarm, guess that explains why mine never worked  Putting a vibrating alarm in a device with a hard drive is just a bad idea.

TX reset time seems normal, nothing excessive. I just did a soft reset and it took 15 seconds.

Considering the Lifedrive takes a couple minutes, 15 seconds is quick.
