SL10 tips

Just bought one a couple weeks ago...so far, it's great! MUCH more PDA then my old Pilot 1000 was ;) I just have a couple things I'm curious about, and was hoping someone could help me out a bit.

My first question is this: Is there any way to bring order to chaos with stored programs on the memory stick? Is there some sort of way I can categorize the things I have saved on the MS just to "clean" things up a bit?

My last question: Does anyone have the camera module for their SL10, and how good is the quality from it?

I read that there was a program to categorize the files on your MS. I don't recall what it was though.

Not sure if there's any util to do that for the default launcher...

You may try a 3rd party launcher like ZLauncher, Launcher X, Mega Launcher, YiShow, though.

Some launchers also let you to create "Shortcuts" to programs stored on MS that can also be used by the default launcher.

1. To categorize laucnhable applications on the Memory stick, yes, you will need a 3rd party launcher. I have used Launcher X, and you can drag and drop your MS applications into different categories. Even after you pull out and plug the MS back in, the launcher will still remember the categories they were in.

2. I would not recommend buying the camera module for the SL10. I have both the NR70V and a newly bought SL10. I got the latter simply because it uses AAA and therefore would work great as a PDA during travels, plus it has all the essential PDA functions without the frills of the NR70V. Anyway, you would not be able to fully appreciate the details of the pictures you have taken with the module on the SL10 (due to lack of color), and I don't think spending so much on the camera module is justified. Spend a tiny bit more and get a cheap digital camera instead if you want pictures.

I've downloaded Launcher X...and so far it does everything I needed it to do!

I've also been reading some past threads about the camera module for the SL10. I'm not really concerned with quality, but it sounds like the module won't quite cut it for what I need it for. Oh well, looked like a neat idea when I bought my Clie...time to start seaching for a digital camera again :P

Thanks for the info...I'll have to look around for that book. So far, Launcher X seems to do everything I need it to do...so next I'll have to look into registering it.
