Has anyone seen these in stores yet? I'm in Oregon and none of our usual places have them. Lots of room on the shelves, but no stock. :(

The new Zire showed up in an Office Depot here in Grand Rapids, MI. I would assume that the TX isn't far behind.

I am from Jenison Mi and called the following today and here is there replies.
Office depot, never heard of it, next week at the soonest
CC , Next week
Best Buy , Next week
Office Max, maybe Friday , check back
Target, NO
Franklin Covey , sure we have 5 in stock do you want me to hold one for you. Both GR stores had 5 that I called. I picked one up today and its charging. If you buy one from FC they will give you the 100.00 dollar planning software for 39.95. Didn't see any cases for it but , I am thinking the T5 stuff should work for it. I didn't ask either as i was in a hurry.

I bought a TX tonight at Best Buy in Buffalo, NY. I called first, and they had gotten it in last night.
It's charging as I write this.

BINGO!! I found one at my local Franklin Covey store. We have two of them in Portland, and both of them had both the T|X and the Z22. They acutally got them in yesterday. They didn't have them on display yet, but when I called the stores they told me they had them, and would hold one for me. Who would have thought that they would beat out the major electronics retailers.

According to the Palm.com site, any of the T5 accesories will work with the T|X.
NOTE: Just confirmed with Palm that any T5 accessory will work with the T|X (except, of course, for the SD WiFi card ;) ). If you look at the specs for both, they are exactly the same WxLxH dimensions.

I'm waiting for OfficeMax. I have this OfficeMax gift card just laying in my wallet...I might use it if it's still useable :p. I think it was my mail-in-rebate from my T|T3...and that was $50. I just hope I can still use it.

Raleigh NC, Crossroads Best Buy. They had them yesterday, sold them all, and will get a new shipment tomorrow, but they had one on display for me to play with.

I bought mine in Richmond, VA yesterday at Office Depot. It was not on display, but could be seen in the glass case.

Darn it! The least they could do is make some sort of indication that the TX is chargin. I'm not used to seein nothing with the charger plugged in lol.

Called two Office Depots, an OfficeMax and a Staples in San Francisco. None to be had and no ETA from any of them. Compusa site says not available in stores. BestBuy is about the only place that has them for now.

Try Franklin-Covey stores. They seem to always get new Palm devices the day they are released.

I purchased mine direct from Palm yesterday and had it in my hand's today. I work at home so it wasn't worth my time to go hunting for it when Palm said they had it in stock.
I am "downgrading" from a LifeDrive that is just too much for my purposes. I thought the 4GB drive would be cool but I just don't use it. Everything I do will fit on an SD card. I am planning to sell the LD.

I am planning to sell the LD.Interesting..... I have a T5 that I hardly use the built-in flash "card". I find a SD Card a lot better since it doesn't get trashed during a reset. I had a LD briefly and that little hard disk not only slowed down the device, but on reset, it got wiped clear too...... SD Cards are the only way to go! The TX has 100 Mbytes of user memory, which is very handy! And I already have a 1 Gigabyte SD Card. A few more days of testing and my T5 is likely to be put on eBay.

That was just too annoying! I don't hard reset often but when I do (which was alot when I first got the LD) I don't want to wait half an hour for it to clear, let alone wipe out the hard drive. I had to back it up, then do the reset and then copy everything back on.
There should have been an option to NOT secure wipe the hard drive but allow the "RAM" to be cleared.
It was also annoying that a normal reset took so long.

I agree that would be nice. It would also be nice if they used lights to indicate whether WiFi or BT is active, instead of having to look at the task bar. That is one thing I will miss from the Pocket PCs.

That is where I found mine, after calling CompUSA, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, and Frys. I wonder what their pull is to get them so fast.

Interesting. When I called Palm to consider ordering one, they said it would be 1-2 days before they could ship, since it had to be pulled from the warehouse. I did order one, but cancelled it when I found the one at Franklin Covey. They couldn't guarantee that they could stop it, but said I could return it if they did.
