I have a Clie NZ90 that I have not used for a long time until today. I put it on the cradle but it refused to charge.
I have a spare battery on hand and I want to test it out, but try as I might, cannot remove the old battery. It seems that its firmly lodged in place.
Hoping someone can help. Thanks!

I compared my unit with my friend's and it seems that there's a problem with the spring mechanism. On my friend's unit, the battery pops out when I slide the 'notch' to one side. It fails to slide out on mine though :(
There aren't any service centers anywhere near my area and its already out of warranty, so I'm hoping to get ideas on how to fix it. Will I have to open it?

It could be that the battery developped some gas and got thicker. This happened to non-sony batteries which i use. Try to pull it out with a pair of pliers or superglue something to it... then pull
