Audio quality is important but I feel your 1src Podcasts are using a bitrate that is just a bit too high for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I download and listen anyways, but I feel that the length of some of them can cause their size (on disk) to be too big. Your using 40 kbps from what I have downloaded, and I feel this is too high of a bit-rate. You would achieve much smaller file size with little more loss in quality with a bitrate in the 16-24-32 kbps range. Don't worry about quality if all it is is voice, as long as your microphone is good, the audio should be clear enough to warrant sacrificing the quality for the sake of a very small file size, considering the length of time as well. A properly recorded voice should be clear at 16 kbps and give you about an hour at just about 7 MB.
Just my opinion, and I hope your not offended, I have no problems with the content, I find them informative and at least mildly entertaining, plus if the file sizes were smaller I could reasonably fit even more of your podcasts on my SD card.
Keep up the good work,
Chris
