well, the 8910i is out for some time now .. and in austria it costs cca €550 .. but imho is the best phone out but too costy ..

Hmmmm, strange that it hasn't reached Finland yet, even though Nokia's hq is in here, and also i bought my 8910 here in finland a couple of months ago when it cost 900€ here... Finland is too expensive country for my taste...

Ah...an attention wh*re like myself....
I haven't tried my 8910i with a NZ yet(still waiting for mine; ordered it three weeks ago:mad: ), but got it to work fine with my (girlfriends) Tungsten T. You MUST install the Palm OS5 bluetooth update to get the default SMS app to work properly. Don't remember if I used the 6310i driver or the standard Bluetooth phone driver... The rest worked fine out of the box. I do hope that you have a provider listed in the standard Phone-Link app; that should set you up for GPRS-internet access... If you don't have that; you're on your own.:D I haven't tried setting it up manually. Good luck!

I always wonder about what's so great about the 8910i phone? Titanium casing? Big deal! Feature wise, I think you can similar, if not more, from other Nokia models like 7210, 7650, 6610 etc...

Bluetooth, color screen, funny sounds - you can get all of them on a 7650, 3650i, 7250 at a lower price. Titanium case and the pop-up mechanism, well...I can't stop someone from liking them  :)

I still that the NX70V is better than the TG50, at least for the eye-catching part. No doubt that its bulky but it still has the WOW factor.

But 8910i is only a dual band phone...and if you want to SMS, it would be troublesome to wait the phone to "pop" out.

You do not need any special drivers just use either BT to modem or IR to modem. In the connection setting simply add to init string the following at+cgdcont=,,"APN"; and you will find this will work with your 8910i.

sorry when I am not able to answer to your problem, but I have a concret request: I have a NX70 and tryed nearly all SMS apps on the market. The only, I am satisfied with, is the one for the NZ from SONY directly.

Do you see any chance, maybe cause of easter :-), to send me this sms.prc file? I also would share something nice from my 3rd party apps as a, lets say "consideration". Mail me at mrmacmax@mac.com

I have heard something about necessary GSM driver. Maybe these too ?
