Acutally PSPVideo 9 doesn't allow videos larger than 480x270. The UX screen is 480x320. Thus, your videos will be in widescreen format or 320x240. Use FFMPEG. I created a guide to make it easier to use. Look here (http://jamerican.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31).

Not to be rude but this is kinda based off of ffmpeg, You can put in custom scripts to make it the size of the clie, My movies for my clie fit perfectly.

what does the Image converter 2 plus do over the regular image converter. Anyone know the major upgrades and if it is worth it to download.

Primarily for the new PSP 2.0 video support:
+ New Video Codec added : MPEG-4 AVC (384bps, 768bps)
+ 16:9 Size format can be selected when using MPEG-4 AVC
+ Changing of pre-converted file titles is supported by the application
+ Output Audio channel (Left Channel Only / Right Channel Only , Stereo left - right) can be selected for conversion

The official website (^^^) includes an update version (you need the purchased CDROM for 2.0).
They didn't make it very secure, so it is easy to rip out the contents and install it even if you didn't buy the 2.0 version. Very light gray area of piracy IMHO -- the ripped version it is floating around everywhere [like site mentioned on first post]

It provides option to encode in H.264/MPEG-AVC with bit rates of 768/384/192/96kbps and aspect ratio of 16:9 and 4:3. However, resolution still remains at 320 x 240. I find it useful for the PSP. But of course, if you only encode in mp4, you can use the guide provided by JAmerican.
