Ok so I take a pic and re-format the size. Now how do I convert it so I can sync it to my PDA?

Anyone? I have an image thats the correct format. I'm using YiShow. How do I put on to my Clie and then open it and use it?

i was wondering the same thing... i have a friend with an m130 and no sd card who wants to put a bg image in zlauncher... i'm wondering if it can be converted in Fireviewer and possibly moved with any File Manager. give that a try.

What format do I have to turn it into to put in on the clie? I'm not putting it on a memory stick, just trying to sync like the two demo pics that came with YiShow. But I don't know how or what program to use to turn it into something that palm will recognize.

Finally, someone else who is having the same helluva time I am. My fiancee has an m515 and I'm trying to convert a jpg to a prc file or some file that her Palm will recognize so I can use it as a background in ZLauncher. Hopefully with enough (or the right) people talking about this we can finally get an answer!

I figured out how to do it with YiShow. But it took FOREVER! Anyway the way I did it with YiShow went like this.

After I re-firmatted my image to 320x480 (I think thats the size) I then did my import. When mymemory stick shoed up on my desktop as an external hard drive I moved the .jpg file I wanted as the back ground to the palm folder. Then on the PDA I clicked the icon of the memory stick inside a folder. When I was in there I click on the palm folder. Lo and behold my .jpg image was there. But this is what took the longest, what you have to do to make that image your background is tap and hold down on the image for a few seconds. Then let it go and a drop down comes up. Last you click Backimage and your DONE!

I have no problem doing what you described on my Clie using MS Import. However, on my Palm I do not have that option. There is no MS Import. All I need to do is get an image onto my Palm and then I can get it to be the backimage. But now that I think about it, where in the hell will it go on my Palm. Again, I don't think I have a File Manager or Clie Files type program with folders, etc. on my Palm like I do on my Clie.

Are you using an SD card with the m515? If so, you might be able to Hotsync the image to the card, then moving it to the desired directory using an app like Filez (which is free). It might not let you Hotsync it, might give an error that no app is associated with that file type. If so, you could rename the .JPG to .PRC and sync it to the card. That would probably work, and then you could just rename it using Filez. There also is an app from Softick called Card Export whick works just like MS Import, but it cost $20.

cbulock,

I don't have a SD card. I tried Pilot Install to what would happen and it let me throw the jpeg on my internal mem, but jacked with the resolution and I wasn't able to have ZLauncher recognize it as a background for some reason. I'm about to give up on it unless I go out and buy a card.

Bummed.

flytrapxx, my friend has an m130 and i am trying to get him a background with ZL and have not yet figured out how to do so, despite a lot of research, just go out and buy a small card or borrow one from a friend temporarily

you could try to convert the image using palmos emulator (read the zlauncher manual exactly =)
