Memory Stick Help

I apologize if this is a stupid question...

I have a 1 gb memory stick and I got it because I wanted to run my 3rd party apps off of it as not to use up all the memory on the handheld and not matter what I try, I seems to add the apps to both the handheld and the memory stick so that it still eats up the handheld memory. I know that some software has to go to the handheld but I would think that most apps can be downloaded only to the MS. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you putting the apps in :
PALM/LAUNCHER/

Yes.. I think thats where they went. I'm going to start all over and see if I had everything in the right spot.

Can the themes/images/backgrounds for zlauncher go on the card or do they have to be in the main memory since I have zlauncher in the main memory?

They can be on the card. When you load up a theme, it will be copied into the ram and when you switch out the theme, it will go back to the card :).
