Okay, I now have my new Palm T5. I am laid up temporarily at home after a bit of surgery and would like to log on to the web from my T5. What are my options? I have Verizon as a cell carrier and that isn't likely to change. Can I set up a wi-fi spot at home, use Bluetooth, or my cell phone. I'm really not sure where to turn. I have an old cell, so will be upgrading soon, but to what Verizon phone. It seems Palm and Verizon unit don't like to talk to each other.

I want to mostly be able to log onto my office's remote email site to read my email. But other web tours too of course.

Options, opinions, please.
Thanks, Jack

By default, Verizon cripples the bluetooth and data options on cell phones. In other words, I doubt you'll easily be able to use your cell phone as an Internet connection for your T5. What Verizon wants you to do is either buy one of their PDA phones with a data plan or buy the PCCard modem for a laptop. (I saw an article recently where Linksys or DLink or one of those is coming out with a router that uses a cellular PCCard from your provider and allows you to share it with other computers/devices, but I don't know if it exists as of yet.)

Other cellular carriers (mainly the GSM based ones) generally (and it's probably a real big generality) offer better connectivity options with their phones and such. Hopefully, someone with more experience in this area will chime in and either say yes GSM is better or they somehow managed to hack the phone to allow access with the T5. Or provide you with better/more options.

I hope your recovery goes well.
