http://www.3drealms.com/index.shtml released the source of the game. How hard would it be to port to OS 5 with the source released?
I don't know, but I hope someone tries it. (Of course they would have to license it first but 3dRealms seems willing to do so.)

Actually, I'm pretty sure that Linux has been ported to the Palm (quite some time ago in fact) and I'm not talking about the Zaurus, I'm talking about a bonafide Linux kernel that can be installed on devices which are built to run the PalmOS

Wow. Ok, fine, you squash my example but my point still remains :). If you could find a link to that linux stuff that would be cool.

The only linux for Palm devices was only for Palm III, IIIxe, V, and Vx...it sucked ***....
ID software released the source for Wolf3D, Quake I, Quake II, and Doom, it's freely available...if someone put their mind to it, they could download it today and start porting....

what do you expect out of Duke Nukem 3d save for babes and heroes? I rather wait for STALKERS... even the PC version had been delayed for years and years and years...

You mean Doom II for Zodiac? They'll have Duke for Zodiac too, but these aren't necessarily gonna be ported back to OS5 devices.
Besides - with the source code for these things so freely available, someone really needs to port 'em. :)
Easy for me to say, eh?
