Palm IIIx won't turn on

I have a Palm IIIx that wouldn't turn on until I did a reset it, and once I reset all of my data is lost. How can I fix this? Thanks.

It sounds like your power button might be stuck, which would explain why a reset trashed all your data; the difference between a soft reset (doesn't lose data) and a hard reset (loses data) is holding the power button down for a hard reset. You could take the case apart and make sure there's no gunk on or under the power button.

I agree ... I had to take my III apart back in the day, it's really easy to do ... Just clean it up a bit and stick it back together. I think I used rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, worked just fine for me.
