I've just converted over to a Clie NZ90V for the general features and ease of use... But I've discovered some pitfalls viz a viz accessories and compatibility. I note that it's built-in video output only works in Clie Album. Is there a fix for this which allows it to work with any app? I took a chance and got the NZ90V for among other things this facility on the cradle. As I should have known with Sony, anything which may actually come in truly useful, they cripple... sigh.
I'm in the process of upgrading my 'urban navigation system' that I use when I'm cycling around. A colour HMD with selectable PAL/VGA is being made for me and a Bluetooth GPS unit is on it's way. The Clie's problems (and it's inability for the compactflash slot to be used for anything but Sony's Wi-Fi , otherwise I could have used the compactflash VGA card) means that it's kind of totally useless for me in this respect.
I can just buy another iPaq for use with the GPS and HMD but since I'll be using the Clie as my main PDA (I'm more used to Palm way of doing things for PDA), it seems rather stupid to carry both iPaq and Clie in my backpack, and I'd rather not be forced to get rid of the Clie.
Can anyone shed light and possibly a fix on this AV problem? Thanks.
