Internet with Lifedrive via Treo 650

Hi,
I want to connect to the web with my lifedrive using a Treo 650 as modem. But I can't get through. I can connect via BT but I cannot logon to the web.
Are there any known problems from one palm to another? Any help appreciated.

Do you have dial up networking enabled on your Treo? Do you have the Lifedrive set to dial #777?

If you have GPRS on the 650, just add the LD as a trusted device - you will be able to connect to the net via bluetooth without any problem.
Now u sayin u can't connect - wats the error message u getting? is it a kind of serial timeout or faulty modem error?

I cannot add the LD as a trusted device. I get a message "Missing or wrong installed BT-services" (I translated it from German).

On the LD I got a seriell error.

Any more ideas appreciated...

Let us do it this way:

1. Firstly if you are getting this serial error, it's because the LifeDrive is not added on your tréo 650 as a linked/trusted device. Be sure about that!

2. Secondly you are getting this error:"Missing or wrong installed BT-services"
Looks like this error: <<No bluetooth hardware is installed on this device>>

So here I think there might be some software conflicts causing this problem. Before I suspect a hardware defect, have you successfully linked any other BT device with your Tréo 650?
If yes/no, I will ask you to try soft-resetting the unit. If it still does not work (try a Hard reset - it may do the trick "not all like that way")
After the Hard Reset, try linking again the LD to your Tréo 650 .

Yeah... I did it - for the 2nd time... And now it works. Let's see if it's stable, I'm on vacation from tomorrow and I hope it will last...
