Palm OS is in Japan, Palm is leaving, and they are re-orgainizing. This could be it. The return of the Clie! :D

Well, I dont beleive that they will do it again as they just made losses according to some people.
Altough they definitely would have good luck now with a PalmOS smartphone instead of their Symbian junk as Palm has just abandoned its lifeline!

Sony just announced layoffs of 10,000 people. I think that works out to 1 in every 7 people will lose their job. I wouldn't get my hopes up about a CLIE return.

Well, after the official announcement of Palm windows-powered Treo I think we have more reasons to belive in the death of Palm OS... no matter how commited Access is to this market I don't actually think they alone can support the community and, specially, gain more market... Damn you Palm Inc!

Hey, what about this:

What if the Treo 700w fails? Palm won't stay in the WM market, and go back to Palm OS. Think we and me are going crazy about a expiriment that will fail...

well, it might sound a contradiction... but i don't think it will fail... a windows-powered treo is what most of the market has been asking because of the aparent tight integration of windows pda OS with windows desktop OS...

I have to admit that it is not that windows mobile is that inferior to Palm... it is just that I do like Palm OS (as I know it) very much and as long as windows stays the way it is I won't migrate... but the problem is that people who are just getting to the PDA world will find windows very much usable for their tasks and soon Palm will become a niche, then fan-based... then just a cult.. crap!

Not because I am a fanboy, but rather because of the strong competition which Palm simply is not used to! They arent used to quality control, price battle,.... .
