I already saw it in stores TODAY - They didn't even have any Micro's in!

Now, seriously, why would Nintendo do this!?

Sonofa...

That's kinda frustrating, considering I'll be picking up my Micro in a day or two.
I like that they've made the screen brighter, don't get me wrong, but I already own a...
I mean why would I want two...
Hmm.
;)

I'm not buying one, but I WOULD hack the new screen into my existing NES version SP just to have it customized with a worthy upgrade. (were it to become available)

New brighter screen! Wow! I think I might spend $80 for a product I already own just for a brighter screen.

Nintendo put a lot of thought into this one! Maybe as much as the first GameBoy Advance, which didn't even have a backlit screen...

If they drop this thing to $50, I'll buy 2 just for the few games that support GBA play on the GC, like Crystal Chronicles.

Hey, my GBA has a backlight..... And tape holding on the screen cover, since I did such a wonderful job installing the Afterburner. :D

Well, maybe because they target the tools at two different kinds of customer:
x) the micro IMHO is targeted at people who like to have a cool tiny tool! They want to do casual gaming and want to look cool&carry little. However, they accept problems with the control placement
x) This current model is targetted at hardcore gamers who want to run games on good controls and dont care about the look!

BTW, how are the screen sizes?
