View Full Version : BusinessWeek confirms WM Treo
from BusinessWeek (http://businessweek.com/technology/content/sep2005/tc20050920_6583_tc081.htm): "Palm (PALM ) will soon announce a Treo powered not by Palm OS software but by Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5. And while Palm will sell both Palm OS and Windows Treos for the indefinite future, Microsoft (MSFT ) software is likely to dominate the market over time."
Thanks Jimmie!

How does that work with an "exe?" With my PPC, I can drag the "cab"(Think that was the extension?) over to my micro-drive and install from it. But wtih the EXE installers, I had to go through the horrid ActiveStync, something that pained me everytime.
And does this mean there will be a new Treo?

I believe there will always be two Treos from now on, one for WM and one for Palm OS.
As long as there's a choice, then everything's fine by me.

Hey, you are right! Is that why they became Palm again? To not be Palm? :p
