Dear All,
I guess it's abit OT for this one. Anyone, I've found this ad here at eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5807926579
I assumed it's 3 styli in ONE PACK and bought it from the seller, but obvious the seller will only send me ONE stylus!
Should've have asked him before I put a bid on it. It's not a big deal, but for the same money, I'd get 3 stylus at least :(
What do you think an ad like that at eBay? Do you think it's kinda cheating in some way?
Regards,
Frank

I bought the same item from the same seller 3 months ago...only one stylus arrived to me...btw there is no information about how many stylus you are going to buy...the photo represents only the three state of the stylus opened.

Yeah, the seller confirmed it's ONE stylus only :( Should've asked first, otherwise would opt for another auction.
Oh well, no big deal anyway. Cheers!

The wording is a little tricky, but I wouldnt say the seller is being deceptive. That type of stylus is almost always called a 3in1, and it does say 1 pack (though I dont know if that was the original way it read). I see though how one could easily think that.

It says it kinda clearly :(
3in1 STYLUS 1 PACK
3in1 Stylus, Pack of 1
Sorry, you should have read it... :(

i say, its very deceptive and you guys should let other buyers know about it. he did say 3in1 Metal Stylus - 1 Pack which really meant 3 metal stylis in 1 pack and he even did show the packings in the pictures 1 pack has 3 stylus.

The pictures look to me as though there are 3 styluses in a pack, but that could just be due to the quality of the image, you can't really judge unless you can see the package in real life.
However, the ad specifically says the stylus(es) come in the original packaging, so the buyers should compare the package they received with the pictures.
IMO '1 pack' is ambiguous but I would take it to mean one pack(age) of more than one items. Another way of saying pack would be collection, and it's strange to say a collection of 1.
If you want to talk about a pack of one you can say 'single pack' this then has a clearly different meaning i.e:
1 pack = one pack(age) of multiple items.
single pack = pack(age) of a single item.
From the wording and the images given in the ad I would say the ad is misleading, but if the packaging pictured in the ad does only contain a single stylus then I would give the vendor the benefit of the doubt.

A 3 in 1 stylus is a common name for a stylus like the T3 ones that have a pen integrated. The number three comes because of:
reset pin
PDA tip(yes, I know that they are equal)
and Pen!

if you actually "click" on the image, the packing "enlarges" which you couild see really clearly that it has 3 stylus in one package

I did click to see the large images and agree it looks pretty convincing that there is supposed to be 3 in a pack.
My post was saying that although you and I can be 99% sure from the pictures, those who have bought from the seller can be 100%, because they, from the description in the ad, should have that exact same packing.
If the packing doesn't match then they have every reson to ask why not.
My suspicision is that the seller is buying them in packs of 3, and selling them separately.

You might want to contact eBay on this one ;)
Although you should have read "3in1 stylus 1 pack", the 3 stylus in a pack was misleading.

Bought those styluses and they suck compared to the Sony originals. They feel like cheap plastic and don't feel as smooth as the originals. But hey they are styluses.

Thanks guys for all the responses. I asked the seller after I paid for it (kinda stupid, wasn't it :( ), and got response from him indicating that it's ONE stylus in ONE pack. It's different from the pic he showed in the ad (THREE styli in ONE pack). I wouldn't have bought it if I could confirm it's ONE stylus only  The seller should have at least indicated that the pic is for display/demo only, the item might be different from the pic ...
Oh well, lesson learnt, no more bidding on ambiguous items at ebay without confirming with the seller first. (On this case, I did ask before bidding, but didn't get answer. Asked again after payment made, got answer which wasn't what I wanted/expected).

Okay, just got the stylus today. Quite disppointed. Not only I've got one stylus, but even the packing is different from the one shown in the auction :(
This is the one I got:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/fengwei007/Misc/MyCoolStylus.jpg
And this one is on the ebay auction page:
http://images.auctionworks.com/hi/58/58427/sty-ext-blister.jpg
Should I file a complain or something to the seller or eBay? Don't think it's worth the trouble, but still don't feel right :(

Why not go for www.styluscentral.com? The TT3 3in1 I got from there worked ok(spring mechanics are GHASTLY), but overall was ok and comfortable to use!
Anyways, that damn pen can come in handy;)
