View Full Version : Hiding Launcher Icons

For a while I've been trying to figure out a way of hiding certain icons in the Launcher, like the bloody Welcome icon (Click it and you are forced to re-calibrate!).

In OS4, you could use JackSprat to just remove the whole darn thing from ROM, but in OS5 this isn't possible on a lot of Palms.

That left Sony's ROMHide program and Sharky's SharkROM, which effectively work by making stub copies of ROM programs and marking them Hidden.
Alas they didn't work on certain things (Clie Mail, in particular, would complain heinously)

With all the talk of JpegView! and GSI View! in another thread, I re-visited the author's site and found he'd made a proggy called ShadowLauncher.

This is nifty - It hides icons in the launcher using a different method to ROMHide or SharkROM, and actually works on things like Clie Mail!

Good Morning-

My launcher, SilverScreen, allows me to do this.

I use a hidden tab in ZLauncher to hide icons I am avoiding.
