View Full Version : converting real media files

I've got a few dozen real media files of one of my all time favorite cartoons (family guy) that I want to be able to view on the NZ (for trips and stuff).

Since image converter doesn't read as input real media files, I've got to do something else. I've downloaded EO Video which is a nice program (if I can get it to do what I want I'll register it). I tried using it to encode a .rm file to a .mpeg and then use image converter to turn that into .mqv (since I couldn't get the sony movie player to read the .mpeg file). That worked once... the first time I tried it and I haven't been able to recreate it.

My question to all is... what's the best way I can get all these real media files turned into a format readable by the movie player (and I could care less if they're movie player format or mpeg format unless one is hugely bigger or crappyier performance).

I can't be the only person out here who's got real media files they want to be usable on the NZ.

Thanks in advance,

-chris

Maybe this link is helpful to you:

By the way, I have similar concern but I've forgotten how to download the streaming video to my harddisk. Do you have any idea?

Real Media never looks very good when recompressed. If you are stuck with it, the linked converter is decent...
