iambic have recently put a new beta of All Time out for testing. A reasonable application with one major flaw (for me) - it only seems able to track charges by the hour. I tend to charge by the day (part days pro-rated) or by the job (usually an audit that can take from 1 to 5 days).
Does anyone use (and would recommend) a time recording program that can charge the way I want? I currently manage my time recording through a spreadsheet but would like to try a dedicated app.
Although I use it for tracking rather than charging check out "Hours" at
http://hours.sourceforge.net
I find it very fast and simple for time entry.
Also checkout TimeCompanion which may be more suited to your needs.

This is quite powerful from my limited use of it but I prefer Hours due to it's simplicity.
Hope this helps.

There's a free program called "Titrax" that I use. It's not beautiful, but it tracks time to the minute, allows you to transfer time between two clients, and lets you make offset adjustements.

The name "Hours" suggests it calculates by time, and I can't find anything on the web site to show how to bill by day or job. TimeCompanion looks far too much - the download is 15MB!
Titrax shows some promise - I'll give Titrax and Hours a try.
Thanks.
