Hi,

Wondering if the followings are possible with NZ-90's built-in BT:

1) Use Nokia/Ericsson's BT headset listening to the audio played from Audio Player and Voice Recorder in NZ-90, while still be able to switch to talk on the phone?

2) How about using the BT headset to do voice recording into NZ-90?

3) Not HotSync but moving files between PC and MS in NZ-90?

Best regards,

I'd *love* to find out if one could use a bluetooth headphone for listening to mp3's or watching vid's from the NZ. That would be money well spent. Anybody got any info on this?

It doesn't work. Clie's don't have the headset profile. I emailed sony about this already.

Bluetooth isn't fast enough to support CD quality stereo so no Bluetooth stereo headphones in the near future :( Still, check out this gizmo:

The new HBM-30 music player from Sony Ericsson doesn't only play back MP3 and ATRAC3 files, but also sports Bluetooth, enabling it to double as a Bluetooth headset...

s_n_m - forgive my ignorance... I don't know what you mean when you say clie's don't have the headset profile.

short comment on bluetooth is not fast enough:

yes, not fast enough for CD quality, i.e. 44KHz X2....

BUT, you are not listening to CD quality!!!

the mp3's you are listening to are probably 128 Kbps x 2... and bluetooth goes 1.5 megabits (max).... plenty of bandwidth!!!

ok... so then listening to greg, what's the problem with bluetooth headphones folks? :)

The problem is that Sony did not put the BT phone profile in the box... like a driver... It's probably just software, but if the mp3 player audio is not internally accessable to the CPU, then it's harder...

By the way, I have never seen stereo BT headphones... I have a mono Jabra that I use with my phone..

so could the BT phone profile be added like a patch or something? and since you said you haven't seen stereo BT headphones.... is the headphones that come w/the clie stereo? stupid question I know... :)

I don't think so. I have a Sony Ericsson BT handfree earphone which is used with the T68i. My NZ cannot 'discover' the BT earphone at all.

just like i said in my previous post... if the hardware is connected internally, then it could be as simple as a patch...

the headphones supplied with the nz are stereo

It'd be cool if it could work.I mean, one could actually record a voice memo or whatever it is away from the Clie, just usign the Headset

I just got this thing two days age and like it . However I did not spring the extra 100.00 for the MagicGate card . Problem is getting mp3s into the thing . I had to select them one at a time . Could not drag and drop , or select multiple files. One at a time ...tedious...can one of you fine folk show me a different and better way to do this . Thanks.

there's a patch specifically for this on the sony support site...
