Oh well, I tried to copy the chart from the Clie Application manual on the CD-ROM. I don't know if you can read that with a MAC.

On files stored in "Memory Stick" media
You can store various files in a "Memory Stick" media inserted into your CLIÉ handheld. Refer to the list below for the designated destination folders of the files stored to a "Memory Stick" media.
Note
Use the Memory Stick Import application when making a backup of a file on your computer.
. When making a backup of a movie image file, be sure to back up both the movie image file (MQV file) and the information file (MAI file).
. When restoring a file, be sure to restore the file to the same folder from which you have made a backup.
. The files marked "Yes" in the Memory Stick Import/Export column below are stored on the respective folders when you use the Memory Stick Export software on your computer and the Memory Stick Import application on your CLIÉ handheld to copy the data.

What formats does the movie player support. The docs mention MPEG1 & 4, but are these commercially coded stuff or what. Any support for AVI?

What are the benefits and limitations of MPEG1 & MPEG4. I have decided that I want my PDA to be as much business as it is multimedia so Sony is the way to go. Now if they would just make a phone based PDA.
