i've had my 665 for a month now... but it's starting to lose it's charge very quickly... i use it about 1 - 2hours a day and it dies during that time.. is that normal? i have the best buy warranty so i can exchange it... the only thing that i did different was... i didn't let it charge all night.. i would let it get to 100%, the light didn't necessarily go off (indicating completely full charge)....
anyone else experience this?
The one short comming about the T665 that is oft mentioned is battery life. 2-3 hours constant use drains the battery. I never use it continuosly for that long a period, and otherwise keep in the cradle or connected to a USB charging cable. If you plan to use it constantly without access to the cradle, there are a number of charger options available for travel, the car, and battery packs.

The T665C should last about 3.5 hours under normal PIM use with the backlight set to about 1/4 brightness. It sounds like your screen brightness is set to maximum, which will eat the battery very quickly.

You can extend your battery life significantly by turning off the backlight feature while you're listening to mp3's or not using the screen. just hold down the power button(while your clie is on) for about 2 seconds and the backlight will turn off.

You will not get a full charge on your battery by leaving it in the charger and then taking it out when it reaches one hundred percent. You have to wait for the light to go off. If you check your battery immediately after taking it out of the cradle before it reaches one hundred percent it will still tell you it is at one hundred percent. For a moment... Then it will quickly (after a few seconds of use) start to downgrade with every screen refresh to its REAL charge. I don't know why it does this, but my 615 does the same thing.

Another tip to increase longevity.
Keep the Beam Receive switch OFF and turn it on only when you need to receive something.
While turned on, the pda transmits a signal every few seconds to check if something is coming its way.
stay cool, dudes.

Also remember that certain activities chew more energy than others, such as accessing memory Sticks, using the speaker (the more volume, the more juice it uses), etc.
I was chewing up lots of battery playing a couple games, then when I moved them back to RAM, things got better.

well.. it loads apps on the MS to RAM, right? so running apps from the MS shouldn't hurt anymore than running an app in RAM. other apps like PG Pocket, which CONSTANTLY hits the MS, will kill the battery...
i found out that my problem was just not letting it get a full charge... my battery seems to last on 100% for a long time, according to YiSHow.. then when it starts to drop, it drops fast..
