DUDES!!!!
We have a lovely Gameboy emulator on the Palm OS! I dont understand WHY you use a dedicated Gameboy that ADDS extra weight 8-0

My TH55 is not optimal for gaming.
This one has a new hat.

How can it play GBA games when it doesn't have all the buttons, where is XY? I don't know much games that will be good for Micro, except for games that only require one buttons, like Roleplayin games and choose and click. It is nice to be so small, but DS is one great replacement ^_^.

You post this sort of question every time. Don't you know that PDAs SUCK for most game genres because of their non-game-friendly-controls. Well you do now. :p And even if the controls were better, like a DS as an example, it would be ILLEGAL to possess an store ROMS on it!

The "X" and "Y" buttons are a DS addition and were also on the original SNES. The GBA has never had 6 main buttons, only 4. :D Think about it, your GBA games on the DS never uses those buttons. :)

Quite right.
Though I wish you could configure them to use XY in DS options or something.
Anyway, yeah, if I am going to buy the stupid Crimson Crap emulator, I at least want all my games to work. Since I am getting a Micro they are all guaranteed to work, plus the screen as I understand it is amazing.

It's mine friday if all goes well.

Cool. Now where's your deposit on the DS. It plays all of the "fun" games. :)

Hah. It'll probably hit 100 flat this holiday season, if they can afford to drop 20 off the micro and the SP.
Tam, 100.

You can't afford $29 more for a second screen on a system that not only plays GBA games pefectly, but also plays some of the best portable games to date? But yet, you're going to pay $100 for a tiny GBA??? :D Where's the logic in that? :p :D
If Nintendo could drop the DS to $100, their ownage of the portable market would reach biblical proportions. :)

As I've said before, the DS simply doesn't strike a chord in me.
I have, however, a connection to and an affection for the Game Boy platform.
It's nothing against the DS, it's great!
It's also nothing against Nintendo.
I own a SNES, but took a pass on N64 and gamecube, it's merely a personal preference.

I know. :) The DS has that GameBoy thing going for it, but at a higher level. I just like to spread the fun. :)

Soon, it will slip through your fingers because of its tiny size. :) I'm going to check one out when they're finally released, to see if I can resist.

Nah.
I ordered two faceplates tonight, Black and Ammonite.
They should look good on the black model.

Cooool. It's like a cell phone. :p

Just like when you guys convinced me to get a Gamecube, so too will I get a micro, or even a DS (just for Nintendogs!).
JackAxe
09-25-2005, 02:40 PM
Yeah, the Micro is simply tooo tempting. It's part of Nintendos plan to get gamers back into the market, so they made it small like a cell phone, so that peeps could easily carry it and play it on the train. Now if only it used tiny cartridges like the DS, it could be even more portable.
Trust me when I say, that there's plenty more for the DS than just Nintendogs. It has been a great system overall, since it has forced developers to rethink the game controls, so there's been lots of fun to be had. :)
Have you played Mario Baseball yet? If not, it's a blast, especially for 2 peeps.

Hey. Nintendo WILL be offering DS's this holliday season at "100". The 130 price point will remain, but they are going to bundle a 30 dollar game with it.
Nintendo is going to own Sony bad in the portables this season.
In fact, http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000280056178/ .Yeah. Thats real. Sony is shaking in their boots.

Doh!
Nintendo doesn't like debit cards! (They could have told me that earlier!)
Looks like my faceplates will be delayed.
However, I got the magic phone call. GBMicro hits my local GS today.
It would be very nice if they had some face plates too, but I'll take what I can get at this point! :)
